Dr. Eggert

Petra Eggert was born in Germany and decided early on to devote her life to improving the physical lives of others. She received a physical therapy degree from the Ulmer Lehranstalt fuer Krankengymnasik in Ulm, Germany in 1981. After practicing in Germany and Ireland, Petra then moved to California and practiced physical therapy throughout the Bay Area. It was in California that Dr. Eggert was introduced to chiropractic care and became intrigued by it. In her work as a physical therapist, she observed a dramatic improvement in patients who received a combination of chiropractic care and physical therapy.

To further help patients, Petra chose to add chiropractic to the physical therapy practice. Dr. Eggert attended the nationally recognized Palmer College of Chiropractic West to earn her second degree – as Doctor of Chiropractic. In 1995 she graduated cum laude, and received an award for Clinical Excellence. Combining these two unique disciplines allows her to give patients the most comprehensive methods of diagnosis and treatment. Since 1995 Dr. Eggert has exclusively practiced in Cupertino.

Dr. Eggert is a member of the American Chiropractic Association, the American Physical Therapy Association and the Cupertino Chamber of Commerce. She is also one of only three doctors in the Bay Area with both degrees – in chiropractic care and physical therapy.
